Report Cards Are Out

  Schools Out and it’s time for Vacation!!

  The New Hampshire Legislature is out of Session for the Summer. It’s time for a Progress Review.

  This week the Concord Monitor, our local paper, came out with an interesting overview of the years sucesses, failures and possible future dealings. I thought it made for some interesting and informative reading!

  In the Yay Column             

   

  1-   Cigarette smoking continues to not only be a source for additional State Income but  

has been Banned from Bars and  Restaurants.

 2- There was a Ban put on Burning Construction Debris

 3- There was a reversal on Parental Notification and Parents no longermust be notified before a Minor has an Abortion

   

4-New Hampshire became the fourth State to honor Civil Unions

 5- Students may not “drop out” of school before age 18

 6- Lawmakers required Oil Companys to offer Security to Pre-buy Customers

 

7- Lawmakers voted for an Increase of $2.10 in the Minimum Wage 

 8-  A Resolution on the Iraq War was passed. It called for American Troops to be Withdrawn. Several Republican Legislators walked out in protest!  

 In the Nay Column 

  

              

  1-New Hampshire will continue to be the only state without a Mandatory Adult Seat-belt Law  2-Children will Not be required to wear Seatbelts  3-There will be No Ban on Greyhound Racing  4-There will be no Boating Speed Limits  5-There was No Repeal of the Death Penalty  6-there will not be Stricter Oversight on Contractors  7-There will not be a Fine for releasing Helium Balloons

  8- Againthey could not agree on a Constitutional Amendment on 

Educational Funding!  

New Income Sources!

1- Smokers per pack tax will go from .28 to $1.08 (Ouch)

2-Registering a Car or Truck will cost another $6.00

                           3-Registering documents at The Registry of Deeds will cost an additional $25 (LCHIP) 

                           4-Wild Turkey hunting permits will be an additional $10

Considering the large change in the legislature this year with the House Sweeping Elections , it looks like they had some Notable Accomplishments !   Lets hope that after some R&R they keep it up !

What’s Hot…NOT

 OK I’m all settled in for the evening. Ready for an informative evening with 20/20 on ABC.  But wait a minute…what’s this! Another “expose” on Real Estate, Realtors and whether we are worth it!

 So far the first segment hasn’t been threatening it’s actually supported the value of investing in Real Estate. So maybe the rest of the show won’t seek to crucify us?…..

  Here we go …Part II. Oh yhea here it comes again…people do better selling themselves. The Lady in the segment saved $15,000 in commission and only spent $350. She even sold for thousands more than a”Real Estate Agent” quoted her. It was predicted in this segment that 6% commissions are a thing of the past and we will be offering our services for $500….gotta sell a lot of homes if you only get $500 dollars!

  

Part III…Screen your neighbors. This segment is about neighbors who spy, neighbors who egg each others houses. Neighbors who shoot and kill each other!.Something tells me…these may be extremes? I sure hope so! And whatever happend to checking out the school system?

  

  Opps,  commercial time…can’t wait for Part IV! It’s about finding a bomb in your neighborhood!       

SNACK TIME

   Oh boy…these people bought a home in a development built on an old bombing range…and it hadn’t been disclosed by the Builder! They did sue the Developer and won but by the time they paid all the legals, they couldn’t afford to sell their homes! So Buyers beware   Those Developers are Gunnin for Ya

 (Maybe if they’d had an agent?…Silly me)

  Part V…ohhh no even Stagers aren’t being left out of this “expose”…Can’t wait to hear this!  Incredible… a crew of 24…24 Stagers pounce on the house and pull, pat, plant and tweak. They call themselves Barbs Stagers (could that be the Barb often discussed on one of our Staging Groups?) Anyhow…you Stagers have come out looking alot better in this program than we RE Agents.  The people Got an Offer and the house SOLD.  

 And the moral to the story….Stage!! (Just how expensive is it to hire 24 Stagers?)

What???  It’s over???   Just like that???  With no conclusion???

  Yup another thought provoking, informative, helpful program ….designed to enlighten!

  Oh well…on to the News. What a relief!!

It was formed by the kinetic energy of the Ancestors of the Biotics. (Biotics- a group of interdependent organisms inhabiting the same region and interacting with each other)

The energy of the Ancestors was put forth by those who sought the magic and wisdom of the Magnificent Google,an illusive entity sought by those who knew His power.

This endless quest put forth the energy that now is BIOTICA.

In Biotica there are no rules…there are no laws there is only Blogging …Blogging without judgement by others, Blogging till three , Blogging with brilliance, Blogging with comments, Blogging with points and above all…Blogging to #1 and the CROWN OF GOOGLE

The rest of the world continues its spin but the people of Biotica have risen above. They need only the boundless possibilities of their minds to transport them wherever they can dream of being

Please note the small structure due to lack of physical engagement. The visor protected eyes due to computer screen dilation (a condition seen only in Biotics)The unkempt hair due to “how time flys” and “I’ll get to it”. Also take specific note of the perpetual halo..signifying “how much trouble can you get into sitting in a lounge chair”?

As for the GOOGLE…the Google waits and hovers bestowing an occasional recognition. He is constantly changing and morphing…increasing the desire.

But the people of BIOTICA? ….They’re getting closer!

An Experiment In Being Kind

Do you find that being kind makes you feel better about yourself? If so…you have experienced “Paying it Forward”

Those of us employed in Public Service occupations are fortunate. We have daily exposure to many diverse situations and as a result we have daily opportunities.

WE may meet a Client, phone a Contact, drop off some paperwork, pick up a Gift, attend a meeting or even “Meet for Lunch”

  Studies by Sonja Lyobomirsky a professor of psychology at the University of California at Riverside, show that good feelings come from good acts and the research indicates that you should do at least five acts of kindness per day. 

  So in the course of your daily tasks why not….pay a compliment, remember a special occasion, write a “just because” note, offer a ride or over-tip a waitress!

  Try it….and you may find your job will bring deeper meaning to your life because you will be using it to directly cause positive feelings in the World
